Margaret River Township
Take some free time to explore the quaint shops featuring the work of local craftspeople, chic cafés and speciality stores.

Busselton Jetty
View the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, stretching out over picturesque blue waters.

Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse
We visit this 1890s lighthouse, built from local limestone on the most south-westerly tip of Australia, where the Southern and Indian oceans meet.

Mammoth Cave
A guided tour of this 500m-long, 30m-deep gothic cave structure featuring impressive structures, fossils and the remains of the extraordinary megafauna (giant mammals).

Boranup Forest
We drive through this 100-year-old regrowth forest, home to the third tallest tree in the world, the Karri Tree.

Pemberton
This pretty timber town is home to forests with the Tall Trees and in spring, carpets of colourful wildflowers.

Tree Top Walk and Ancient Empire Walk
Get a bird’s eye view 40m above the forest floor from a lightweight bridge among the tingle trees, and bask in a grove of 400-year-old tingle trees on the Ancient Empire Walk.

Wilderness Cruise
We take a luncheon cruise with a local guide on the Nornalup Inlet, known for its rich, diverse marine environment.

Albany ANZAC Centre
Explore this world class historical attraction and modern marvel.

 

Itinerary

DAY 1 | PERTH TO ALBANY

As we travel south towards Albany and the South Coast, we encounter the Stirling Ranges and Porongorups and stop for a winery lunch with wine tasting and then continue south to Mount Clarence and the ANZAC Memorial Centre in Albany.  Take a self guided tour before taking a scenic drive along the rugged coastline before an early evening check in at your accommodation. DAY 2 | ALBANY TO PEMBERTON REGION 

After breakfast we head to Albany’s Historic Whaling Station for a quick self guided tour before enjoying coastal sightseeing, visiting ‘The Gap’ and ‘Natural Bridge’.  Travelling West to the coastal resort town of Walpole, we join our local guide for a luncheon cruise on the Nornalup Inlet, widely regarded as one of the last great wilderness areas. Next stop is the Valley of the Giants ‘Tree Top Walk’ which reaches 40 metres high into the forest Canopy. Afterwards head north west to the Pemberton region for check in at your accommodation. (LD)

DAY 3 | PEMBERTON REGION TO MARGARET RIVER WINE REGION

Early morning take a short stroll to the majestic Beedelup Falls and then we head North through the stunning Boranup Forest to have the opportunity to climb the 51 metre Gloucester Tree. Then west we arrive at Australia’s most South-Westerly point, Augusta, and visit Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse where the Indian and Great Southern Oceans meet. After lunch we head out to Surfers Point Lookout to see some spectacular coastal views and then north to Mammoth Cave. Following this will be a late afternoon check in at your accommodation of choice, allowing free time to experience and explore the local surroundings. DAY 4 | MARGARET RIVER TO PERTH 

After breakfast, we head down to enjoy some free time in the main township of Margaret River.  Following shopping time, visit the chocolate and cheese factories (time permitting) to taste some of their delicious samples and then sample some of the delicious locally produced wines at a marquee Winery. Following lunch, head to the dramatic coast at Canal Rocks.  Journeying home, at Busselton, you’ll see the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere before a leisure drive back to Perth arriving late afternoon.
