Dolphin Adventure Cruise
Join Mandurah Cruises’ 1400hp safari vessel, The Spirit Adventure, for a breathtaking wildlife adventure. See amazing dolphins close-up, internationally renowned wetlands and abundant birdlife including, pelicans, osprey and rare North Asian migratory birds (October to March).
The thrombolites at Lake Clifton are more than 2,000 years old and over 6 kilometres long and up to 120 metres wide, making these stunning living fossils the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. Take a stroll along the boardwalk to view the striking rock formations.
Take a relaxing stroll on the Mandurah Boardwalk, home to several cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. Take your time and take in the sights and hustle and bustle of the Mandurah foreshore.
We travel south from Perth heading into the Peel region famed for its stunning coastline and abundant aquatic wildlife. After leaving the city we head through Mandurah onto Lake Clifton to view the over 2000 year old thrombolite reef, the largest reef of its kind in the southern hemisphere.
Following this we stop for included morning tea in the Cape Bouvard area. We then head north into the City of Mandurah for the real highlight of the day to join Mandurah Cruises for a 1.5 h Dolphin Adventure cruise aboard their purpose built dolphin safari vessel. On board this fully enclosed vessel we go in search of the largest residential population of the famed Bottlenose Dolphins in Western Australia to witness these amazing creatures up close throughout the expansive Peel-Harvey estuary; together with the abundant birdlife that call Mandurah home. Whilst built for speed, the vessel is used for its ability to quickly manoeuvre to capture the beauty of the dolphins in action and is fully stabilised to assure a comfortable ride.
Following this fascinating 1.5 hour expertly commented cruise, lunch is provided back on shore; with plenty of free time after lunch afforded for shopping and souvenir hunting along the scenic Mandurah foreshore and boardwalk before heading back to Perth along the freeway arriving approximately at 4.00pm.
